Our cabin is nestled amongst native cedars, firs and wildlife on a quarter acre lot on a quiet dead end street. Sleeping arrangements include a comfortable queen bed and pine bunkbed in the bedroom that will sleep up to four. Pull up a chair on the deck and enjoy morning coffee, afternoon beverages or an afternoon barbeque or evening outdoor dinner. Though secluded and private we are within two blocks of public beach access, two marinas, general store, café and sports rental store. Enjoy a bike ride on the nearby Bike Path or head for the trails for hiking or mountain bike excursion. Bike or drive to Tahoe City to the north or some of Tahoe's most beautiful beaches at Meeks Bay, Sugar Pine Point or points further such as world famous Emerald Bay and Vikingsholm Castle. We are also close to the access point to the world famous Rubicon Jeep Trail. Rent a paddleboard or kayak (tandem, sit-on-top kayak is available from us for $25/day) and spend the day on the Lake. Take the kids to Wildlife Center for free Saturday lecture or learn of Tahoe’s rich Maritime history at the new Maritime Museum. Hire a local guide and fish for Tahoe’s famed lake trout, the Mackinaw. For boaters, depending on boat size trailer parking on site can be arranged for additional fee. Parking for larger boats/trailer parking is available at local marinas. All homes have access to a private section of the beach and can use shuttle service for transportation from their homes to the beach. The shuttle departs every half hour on the hour beginning at 11am with the last regular run at 4:30pm. The shuttle operates daily from approximately July 1st – August 20th. Chambers Landing Restaurant is a local’s favorite and located right next to the private beach area on the water. During the summer, offering an outdoor bar and grill during the day and open for fine dining in the evenings, Chambers Landing Restaurant has it all! Snowbird Cabin is located on the beautiful west shore of Lake Tahoe, within the charming Chamberlands neighborhood. About a mile from Homewood Ski Area and walking distance to Chambers Landing Private beach. The cabin is ideal year round for family gatherings and small group retreats. The 1800sqft cabin accommodates 8 people with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Enjoy a cozy stone fireplace, sectional sofa, dining table, and heating in every room. Each room has its own balcony and outdoor access. Bedroom Configurations Master Bedroom - King Bedroom # 2 - Queen Bedroom # 3 - Queen Bedroom # 4 - Queen The cabin is nestled in the back of the Chamberlands neighborhood on a large lot and is a part of the Chambers Landing Beach and Mountain Club. During the summer you can walk a mile or take the complimentary bus service to the Chamberlands private beach, swimming pool, and tennis courts. Walk from the cabin to trails leading to Quail Lake and Homewood Ski Resort. Emerald Bay and D.L. Bliss State Park trail heads are approximately 20 minutes away by car. For winter retreats, Homewood Ski Resort is 1.5 miles away and Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadow are 15 miles away. This is an ideal cabin for a ski and lake retreats for friends, couples, small family gatherings. In this four bedroom cabin you will find a master with a cal king, and three rooms with queen beds in each. Each room has its own deck/patio entrance by sliding door and additional blankets in the closets. There is a washer and dryer downstairs. Upstairs you will find a cozy common area with a large new sectional, brand new wood floors, gas fire place, beautiful 8 person dining table, and gorgeous views. Relax in the common area between ski runs or beach trips in front of a large flat screen TV and cozy and easy to use gas powered fire place. There are books and DVD’s for your use. cook your meal in the kitchen or grill on the upstairs deck with a propane gas grill. The kitchen is stocked with dining sets, cookware, utensils, appliances, paper towels, etc. Our freezer also has an ice maker so no need to buy your own. The master and one of the rooms downstairs also have flat screen TV's.  All TV's have streaming capability. Summer: Chambers Landing Beach, Pool, and Tennis courts. All within walking distance (less than a mile). Guest Pass for Chambers Beach, Pool, and Tennis Court will be hanging up in the hallway when you first enter the cabin. Please place the pass back here when you check out. I will include a note in the checkout instructions. We are located in Homewood (in the McKinney Estates neighborhood) between Chamber's Landing and Tahoma. Our private, newly remodeled home is in West Shore, Lake Tahoe. Walk through the door of our cabin into all of the comforts and amenities that you would typically expect to have in your own home. Downstairs features a full kitchen with custom concrete countertops, custom cabinets and stainless appliances; dining room with a sliding door leading to the deck; living room with a flat screen t.v. and fireplace; full bathroom with a walk-in tiled slate shower and custom concrete counter; a master bedroom with a King bed; and a laundry room. Upstairs you will find two rooms: a large room with a queen bed and two twin trundle beds (sleeping for 4 in twins or make 2 kings) and a loft room with a door for privacy and a full size bed. There is also a full, tiled bath upstairs with a tub/shower. This cabin has been in our family for many years and has seen generations of families. This cozy cabin is located on a quiet wooded street, just a short drive (1/2 mile) from Homewood Ski Resort's South Lodge. ** Please note: during holidays and summer week long stays are required. There is a 3 night minimum all other times. Strictly enforced. ** In the summer, guests have access to Chamberland's private white sandy beach, with free shuttle service for transportation to/from the beach. The shuttle departs every half hour on the hour beginning at 11am with the last regular run at 4:30pm. The shuttle operates daily from July 2nd – August 22nd. Guests with a boat, can pull up and park your boat at the dock to enjoy all that Chambers Landing on the lovely West Shore is known for. A long wooden pier stretches out into the blue water with a small bar serving the famous “Chambers Punch”. The restaurant itself features wonderful Tahoe mountain ambiance and outstanding food. During your stay, you can relax by the wood stove in the Living Room on leather couches and enjoy a stunning view of the giant Cedar and the mountains beyond or watch a movie on our flat screen TV. The large kitchen is fully-equipped for all of the cooking you may want to do during your stay. The dining room also offers beautiful views of the forest and is located adjacent to the kitchen so you can chat with your guests while preparing dinner.
